about

Maximizing Relief for Tulsa.

Government, foundations, and citizens coming together to assist our Tulsa small businesses and nonprofits.

how it started

McKenna Raley, a Tulsan and current student at Duke University, launched TulsaResponds.org in early March as a resource for Tulsans to find ways to support their beloved local businesses and organizations, through donations or participating in their adapted offerings.

This initiative quickly caught the attention of Atento Capital and the George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF), who, in partnership with the Tulsa Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) began to think even bigger — and expanded McKenna’s site to help ensure that local businesses and nonprofits are able to act quickly to take advantage of COVID-19 financial assistance packages

McKenna has since created another website, Tulsa Unites, that supports Tulsans across all facets of the pandemic. Check out this site for public health information, ways to serve, mental health resources, and more.

why we exist

The Tulsa Responds Task Force exists to

  1. Simplify and explain the financial options available to small businesses and nonprofits
  2. Give technical assistance to Tulsa small businesses and nonprofits preparing to apply for assistance
  3. Help navigate the application processes and create lending relationships

Our goal is simple, maximize the relief given to Tulsa, help our small businesses and nonprofits, and bounce back as strong as ever.
